Drosera cistiflora ‘red’

Poppy Flower Sundew ‘Red Flower’

A beautiful form of Drosera cistiflora, the red-flowered plants occur in the flatter Swartland regions, especially on sandy Strandveld and parts of the fynbos near Darling where a well-known spot exists, but is threatened at that locale by feral pigs damaging the habitat.

This form is smaller than other cistiflora with relatively few stem leaves.
